Hello All-
My name is Emily Green and I am a sophomore elementary education major at Appalachian State University. I am currently in the class CI-2300 which is Teaching and Learning in the Digital Age. For one of the assignments, we were asked to create a lesson plan using media literacy. I chose to make a lesson for the fifth grade classroom using a YouTube video as my media. The video I chose is entitled Carrot Crazy. I chose this video because I felt that it provided a great introduction into analyzing media and it also correlated with the Common Core State Standards for fifth grade English and Language Arts.
